Koi Spawning Season is Here!
The weather has finally stabilized, and one of our favorite times of the year has finally arrived…spawning season.
This is the time of year when we spend long, tiring days bringing in all of our brood stock from the mud ponds, pairing the males and females for spawning, and eventually putting the fertilized eggs out to hatch. These next few weeks will produce all of our one-year old stock for next year.

Co-owner and Production Manager Rick Brown, along with his daughter Kirsten, displays three prized Kujaku breeder. These koi are sedated, and can be held easily. Don't try this at home!
